This rehab simulator was built in our facility from a standard Ford F-350 Super Duty single cab vehicle. It was disassembled and built back together and mounted on an adjustable lift system that could adjust the height according to the patients own vehicle's height. This ensures that the patient can learn to get in and out of their own vehicle safely inside that facility with medical staff present.
Transitioning in and out of a vehicle can be a real challenge for patients. It’s a tremendous benefit for them to be able to practice this skill as part of their rehabilitation. Having this unit in a rehabilitation facility, provides a helpful tool to safely aid patients to perform this task under supervised conditions. This simulation provides a solution for all patients entering and exiting the simulation.
